“After several failed therapy courses with various counsellors from schools and private practices I was at a loss as how to help my son, Ethan was suffering from severe anxiety and struggling to attended school, he had also developed an eating disorder. The school were of no support and even added to the stress for both my son and me. I ended up deregistering Ethan from school from the start of year 10 to home school.”

“Then we met Shireen from Bee Resilient, for the first time I felt I had found someone who listened and understood what Ethan needed. Shireen took everything at Ethan’s pace noticing and praising the smallest of achievements, listening to what he needed and wanted. She reassured me as a parent I was doing ok which felt like a weight lifted.”

”Shireen noticed Ethan was potentially autistic and supported me in getting a positive diagnosis. With Shireen’s knowledge of nutrition, she also helped with his eating disorder and when some things did not work with his problems it was not seen as a failure Shireen would just say well done for trying let us try this instead and managed to put a positive spin on anything.”

”Before Shireen, my son was hiding in his room, completely disengaged from education with no confidence in himself or in communicating with others. Then this September Ethan started college, something I did not think was possible. He is on a step 2 course to help reintegrate back into education and life.”

”I just wish we had met Shireen sooner I cannot thank her enough.”
